Our sweet couple, Barbara and Ryan finally got to celebrate their marriage!
After meeting through mutual friends Ryan hosted a bonfire at his house. They didn’t speak the entire night, but the glances back and forth across the room between the two convinced Ryan to reach out on Facebook and to ask her on a date. (Sounds familiar if you know Zac and my story!) In Barbara’s words the proposal was “less romantic” as Ryan said “I am getting older and it has always been a dream of mine to join the Army, so we need to get married so you can come with me.” Barb responded with “we have been dating for 2 years, and I kind of like you” so why not!? They went to the town hall and got married shortly after. They may not think it was that romantic, but the way these two look at each other says it all! They didn’t need all of the thrills to show their love for each other, it’s written on their faces. They have been waiting to celebrate their marriage for 3 years (as everyone knows, the last few years have been tough for everyone getting married!)
Barb and Ryan chose our favorite theme of classic, bright whites, and greenery. During our first client meeting Barb was very laid back on everything, her only request was a pretty dress, and beautiful pictures. She mentioned how Ryan was actually the Groomzilla and is way more particular on his choices. He wanted to wear a white tuxedo and Barb joked “it is absolutely not happening!” We love when grooms are just as invested, if not more in their wedding day to their beautiful brides! (And on the day of, Ryan was far from a Groomzilla, they were both very relaxed with it all!)
