Kaycee & Travis were married at the Dunes Club in Narragansett, Rhode Island on September 21st. It was a rainy day, but the gorgeous venue (with amazing natural light) made up for it! The never ending windows along the entire length of the building allowed us to capture their day with our light and airy style!
The couple shared a very sweet first look at their ceremony space where they cried and laughed together before they started all of the formalities of the day. We absolutely love when our couples take in the day and take their time to talk and spend some quality time together during their first look. The day goes by so fast, those few minutes spent together are so precious!
I asked Kaycee and Travis, “what were your favorite moments from your day?”
“Obviously our favorite part of the day was our first look when we got to see each other!” said Kaycee. Besides the first look, they couldn’t pick just a few, they enjoyed every minute! Kaycee enjoyed getting ready with her sisters, her mom, and her childhood best friends at the venue. Meanwhile Travis played cards with his groomsmen in the venue’s bar area.
The bridal party walked down the aisle to an instrumental of Time of my Life from dirty dancing, which was Kaycee’s parents wedding song. Kaycee walked down the aisle to All I Ask of you from Phantom of the Opera which is one of her and Travs favorite movies to watch together. Their ceremony was very personal as Kaycee’s mom officiated their wedding.
The dance floor was packed all night! The couple had a band and the guests immediately took to the floor with light up cowboy hats and light sticks. Kaycee told me about when the band went on break “trav and I took a moment alone in another room. When the band came back, they opened with September 21 by Earth Wind and Fire and we danced, just the two of us in the other room. We went back and joined all our guests who had already refilled the dance floor!”
One of my favorite moments of the day was when all the guests gathered outside with clear umbrellas to watch their private firework show! Although it was raining, it was a fun memory and made for some beautiful pictures!
Thank you Kaycee & Travis for allowing us to capture your wedding day! It was such an honor!
