Taylor & Katie's Fall Engagement Session at Wickham Park

When we heard that Taylor and Katie were engaged, we were so excited for them, but even more excited when they reached out about our photography services! Taylor and Zac grew up together in Willington, they were in the same grade in school and had biology together in high school! We met with them at Hop Knot in Storrs for our double date, and had so much fun catching up with them!

Taylor and Katie met about three years ago. On their first date, they went to a wine and paint night and bonded over their shared love for basketball. After two years of dating, Katie proposed to Taylor on a scrabble board on New Years Eve. (Adorable right?!) Taylor also wanted to propose to Katie, so after their meeting with us at Hop Knot, we went out to Taylor’s car to see the ring! Taylor proposed on the beach at Groton Long Point, before they went to a Justin Timberlake concert that evening! We loved that we got to see them on such a special day!

A few days before their engagement session, we got an email from Taylor asking if they could bring their dog with them. We said “of course!” Because we LOVE dogs! (You probably figured that out by now!) When they introduced us to Mia (easy name to remember, as our chihuahua is Mia!), we just fell in love. Taylor found Mia wandering down the road last year. She called animal control and they asked if she could take her for the night as the dog warden already went home for the evening. Taylor took her home and the next day, the warden asked if they could keep her for the weekend. Taylor was not a big dog person, but after keeping Mia for the weekend, they just could not give her up! She fit in perfectly.
