Quincy and Ashley have been together for 5 years and Quincy wanted to celebrate their anniversary with a photo session! In Quincy’s email he mentioned a surprise! We figured he meant he would be proposing based on the hints given in the emails, and we were beyond excited to photograph our first proposal! We figured out the details with Quincy (including having Zac hold onto the ring during the session so Ashley wouldn’t notice it!) over email and counted down the days until we got to meet them!
When we arrived, Quincy was already gleaming from head to toe with happiness. The man just could not stop smiling! He was so excited to propose to his love and his joy just radiated to all of us! We decided the best spot for the proposal was up on the dam which was in direct sunlight until sunset, so we had to kill time (and keep our lips sealed about the secret!) for most of the session. Boy was that hard! It was even harder when Ashley started cracking jokes that they could have gotten married on their anniversary and it would have been 5 years on April 3rd, 2021. (5 years on 4/3/21 get it!? 54321!)
Once we got up on the dam we took a few pictures as the sun was setting. We then set Ashley up for a pose looking out at the water, Zac handed off the ring, and Quincy got down on one knee! When we tell you we were nervous, we were NERVOUS! We could not miss this shot and we were feeling all the happy gitters from Quincy so we were shaking! We cranked up our shutter speed so that our nerves wouldn’t cause our photos to be blurry and then it happened! She turned around and we all started crying!
