Connecticut Coastal Elopement at Hammonasset Beach

Hey there friends! We are so excited to share this styled elopement we did on the Connecticut shoreline! We worked with an amazing group of wedding vendors to achieve this look! Alyssa from Alyssa Jean Signature Events gets all the credit for designing this beautiful styled wedding!

We recently started looking for wedding vendors who would be a good match for us to recommend to our clients. We have been meeting with venues, planners, videographers, etc to create a great preferred vendor list for our couples. We only want to recommend vendors who our clients will love and connect with!

Alyssa is a local wedding planner, and we reached out to chat about her business. When we met with Alyssa and her husband John for a double date, we connected instantly! Zac and John connected on submarines and military talk, Shelby and Alyssa chatted about weddings, food & wine. Yup we are all foodies, incase you didn’t already know that about us!

Alyssa is outgoing and bubbly, and we know our brides will love her as much as we do! What we really love is her attention to detail, a very important aspect of being a planner.

Alyssa mentioned that she wanted to do a styled shoot on the beach, and asked us to be the photographers! After lot’s of hard work, she pulled together a gorgeous design and gathered an amazing team of creatives! Alyssa visited a few different beaches in Connecticut, looking for the perfect spot for our styled elopement. She settled on Hammonasset Beach because of the rocks and beautiful driftwood.

Alyssa and Shelby arrived in the morning to start setting up the tablescape. It was freezing cold and the wind was so strong, we could not even place our table cloth on the table. We had to quickly reevaluate (after we already unloaded everything and carried it across the beach) and set up at a different location further inland. Luckily Alyssa is a quick thinker and is good with back up plans in case something goes haywire! We found this little sandy spot tucked away from the ocean with giant boulders. It turned out to be the perfect location for our coastal look!
