Ellen & Brian’s Rhode Island Winery Wedding

At Shepherd’s Run in South Kingstown Rhode Island.

When we met Ellen and Brian at their engagement session in Boston Massachusetts we knew they were going to be an awesome couple to work with. We loved how relaxed and trusting they were with the whole process, allowing us to capture their day to our best ability while also making sure they enjoyed their beautiful day! With their timeline planned perfectly with a first look, we made sure they had all the pictures they could want, but also to include plenty of time to enjoy their wedding day together! We absolutely love first looks for that reason! We always want our couples to spend as much time on their wedding day, together!

Ellen and Brian got ready at seperate Airbnbs in Narragansett Rhode Island. After a calm morning getting ready, the girls loaded up on a bus to head to Point Judith for their first look. They wanted their first look to be up on a hill overlooking the water and the lighthouse. With no shade in sight and sun directly overhead, it was a bit of a struggle to capture, however we got to see Brian cry for the first time (of many)! The emotion throughout the day was so strong that we were even tearing up behind our cameras!

After their first look, we headed to Shepherd’s Run to capture their bridal party, family, and bride and groom portraits before the ceremony. They had some extra time to rest up before we headed to their ceremony at a nearby church. Again we got to see Brian shed a tear, as Ellen walked down the aisle! Many couples shy away from a first look as they feel it won’t be emotional walking down the aisle. We have only seen the opposite, and Brian was proof!

After their ceremony we headed back to the winery to capture their reception space. It was BEAUTIFUL. This has to be our favorite reception space decor to date. Ellen and her family hand painted the vases, they had gorgeous flowers, beautiful linens and signage, and had custom lights hung in the tent. All that effort absolutely paid off as it was a show stopper!

During cocktail hour we captured a couple extended family photos, they mingled at cocktail hour, then they got to sit and hangout for a bit to relax together away from their guests. We think it is so important to enjoy the moments together, so we always try to steal the bride and groom away for a little bit throughout the day! After they rested up on the couch all snuggled up, we took them outside for a few husband and wife photos. They were then announced back into their reception where they had their first dance, parent dances, and we got to listen to some very sweet speeches from family and friends.

Soon after dinner we snuck them away one more time for sunset portraits before they danced the night away!

We would like to thank Ellen and Brian for allowing us to be part of their wedding day. We loved every second of tears and laughter with this sweet couple.

xoxo

Shelby & Zachary

Thank you Ellen for this sweet review! “Shelby and Zach did an amazing job photographing our engagement pictures and wedding. Our wedding day truly wouldn’t have been the same without them. They were so flexible with adding on time and made sure to get all of the shots that we wanted and more. Shelby was also a life saver for me and helped me with the timeline, and with my bustle and veil the day of. The photos we’ve seen already are so stunning and I can’t wait to see the rest! I would recommend Shelby and Zach to everyone!”
