We only met Adrianna and Devion about two months ago. They reached out to us looking for a wedding photographer for their (very!) soon wedding! We were so happy to have their date open and met them for our usual double date to get to know them. We asked them why they were only reaching out to us two months before their wedding? They told us their sweet love story about how they met and started dating in high school. They dated on and off over the years, but this year decided they just belonged together! They got engaged in November and decided they just wanted to be married already! So Adrianna and Devion invited their closest friends and family to their intimate wedding on the beach in Niantic Connecticut.
Adrianna and Devion had one of the most relaxed wedding days we have ever seen! They gave us the reins on where to do their first look and let us decide whether to have their ceremony inside or out on the beach. We love when our couples trust us to make decisions based on lighting, it makes for such beautiful images! Of course we chose the beach since it was a beautiful day and the sun was in a pretty good spot for lighting!
Adrianna and Devion had a beautiful first look out on the beach. Devion hugged Adrianna so tight and said we are getting married right here and now because I am never letting you out of my arms! They were beyond adorable, and many of their portraits were natural interactions from their first look!
After their first look, Devion said he was going to hop into the ocean. We all laughed as he kicked off his shoes and headed toward the water. We all could not believe it when he actually took a quick dip into the freezing cold ocean! Guys, it was 34 degrees out and we were bundled up in scarves and gloves! From that point on, we knew their wedding was going to be one of the most memorable ones we will have ever photographed!
After their first look, we headed to the beach where they were going to have their ceremony. We had a quick mini rehearsal to plan where the aisle would be set up and laughed so hard with Devion’s best man as he tried to make an aisle in the sand. Their ceremony was so sweet with just their closest friends and family gathered around them on the beach.
